WHAT MAKES MY APPROACH TO ANXIETY UNIQUE?

This week, someone asked me how I acquired my knowledge on anxiety...

I WROTE:

I had really bad postpartum & generalized anxiety in my 30's...

However, neither the medical model nor the mainstream psychological model could explain what was happening to me or where the solution lied.

So, I set out to do my own research in all areas of the social sciences so that I could figure it out on my own. Such as...

- relational psychology

- sociology

- anthropology

- European gestalt psychology

- feminist psychology

- social work

- etc.

I became so passionate about my solution that I became an Anxiety & Depression Coach for Mothers.

As I was helping mothers with the worst cases of panic-based anxiety, I thought back to the solution to my crippling Social Anxiety in my 20's.

I had called this solution "Honesty, Love, and Acceptance".

Combing the results of my newer research with the practical "Honesty, Love, and Acceptance" approach proved to be very powerful in helping my clients overcome ALL KINDS of anxieties...

... such as health anxiety, OCD, safety anxiety, generalized anxiety, panic attacks, etc...

So I moved on to helping everyone with all anxieties.

I firmly believe that my approach to anxiety & social anxiety is the best one out there...

Because anxiety is not the problem... It is the PRIMARY EMOTIONS at the root of our anxiety that is the problem.

I help my clients overcome these primary emotions... both in general and in the ACTUAL SITUATIONS where they occur.
