WHAT DOES THE GRIEF RESEARCH HAVE TO SAY ABOUT ANXIETY & DEPRESSION?
On Saturday, I finished the course I have been taking on Grief & Loss.
The current grief & loss research is right in line with what I believe.
Grief & loss are viewed as NORMAL human emotions, and are not pathologized the way that anxiety & depression tend to be. .
But in my opinion, ALL emotional problems can be processed in a similar way... by...
1. TALKING about what we really feel with someone we trust...
2. Identifying the PRIMARY NEGATIVE EMOTIONS like shame, guilt, sadness, loss, powerlessness, loneliness, etc. at the root of our Anxiety & Depression.
3. TELLING OUR WHOLE STORIES from beginning to end, while identifying how we felt along the way.
4. This enables us to PROCESS our emotions... and we can find NEW INSIGHTS and NEW PERSPECTIVES that help us free ourselves from these painful emotions.
5. Figuring out what we need to do to feel HAPPIER, more CONNECTED, and more EMPOWERED in our lives. .
I don't see Anxiety & Depression as a pathology at all.
I view them as SECONDARY EMOTIONS that we feel when we haven't processed the primary emotions underneath.
THIS is what the grief research is showing...
This is what ALL of my research and experience is showing...
Let me know if you would like me to help you overcome your anxiety and depression... as well as the primary emotions underlying it.
To your Happiness & Emotional Freedom...
