BECAUSE HE CHOSE THE HARD ROAD...
There were two roads to choose from...
Both contained suffering...
Both contained pain...
One road was easy...
The other road was hard...
The EASY road required doing very little...
But his suffering would remain... and remain...
The HARD road required doing so much...
Pushing through resistance...
Pushing through the pain...
Dealing with the past...
Dealing with the shame...
He stayed on the EASY road
For years and years and years...
And then one day... he decided...
I don't care how hard that other road is...
I'm going to do it anyway...
The hard road gives me...
EXPERIENCES...
WISDOM...
And CONNECTION along the way!
So, he turned around...
To the hard road...
And looked up and up and up...
It was steep...
And rocky...
And long...
And daunting...
And he said "Fuck it!"...
I don't care whether I EVER reach the end...
I am GOING on this hard road...
Due to what I WILL gain.
So, he started on the hard road...
It was excruciating...
All those rocks...
That tumbling down...
He gained speed...
Learned techniques...
Gained resilience...
Gained strength...
He no longer felt like quitting...
It was SO much easier now...
He could actually see the top...
And he was actually enjoying himself!
And when he finally got there...
He was a different man...
He looked in the mirror...
And saw WISDOM...
CONFIDENCE...
HAPPINESS...
And PRIDE...
He had conquered his OWN resistance!
He was now a FREE MAN inside! <3
