WHY I DROPPED OUT OF THE MASTERS DEGREE IN LINGUISTICS...
When I was 27 years old, I started my Masters Degree in Linguistics...
What I observed in this particular Social Science was more SHOCKING than you will ever believe.
We had to learn ONE particular framework that had been developed by a "Head Honcho" in the field...
However, every bone in my body screamed that this framework was built on FALSE ASSUMPTIONS because I had learned quite a few foreign languages by that point.
.
I said to my professors...
- "Can I question the Head Honcho's BASE ASSUMPTIONS in my Master's thesis, because I have evidence to show that they are WRONG!"
They said...
- "No, you CAN'T question the Head Honcho's framework until AFTER you have finished your PhD... But then you won't get a job because 90% of the universities in North America follow the Head Honcho's framework."
My jaw dropped...
My heart sunk...
The world as I knew it came crashing down...
Oh no...
What if this also happens in the SCIENCES THAT MATTER... such as Medicine, Psychology, and the like? 😲
.
If the Mainstream Therapies have not helped you with your Anxiety or Depression... just remember the "Head Honcho Effect"...
It is NOT necessarily the BEST ideas that get spread around the Universities...
It is the Head Honchos' ideas.

In my opinion, some of the BEST ideas that I have read about Anxiety and Depression came from the ALTERNATIVE BRANCHES of the Social Sciences who had the guts to say, "WE DO NOT AGREE!" <3
