CIKK: Amikor azt mondtam magamnak, "ne legyél olyan önző"

Frissítve: 2020. máj. 31.

I had just written a vulnerable post online... and was feeling those familiar sensations of intense shame...

I felt horrible physical pain in my arms... I felt so small... Every muscle in my body wanted to take it down... I felt so horribly exposed...

And then something dawned on me...

- I was assuming that the world revolved around ME!

- I thought that people were thinking about ME!

- I thought that people were busy judging ME...

- I thought that people were obsessing about MY post!

When in reality, nothing could be further from the truth! 😉

I thought... What if I could catch myself in this state of shame and tell myself, "STOP BEING SO SELF-CENTERED?"

Could this launch me back out into LOVING THE WORLD around me?

I tried it...

And it worked!

I cared about OTHER people again...

I remembered WHY I had written the post in the first place!

This was not about me... This was about contributing to the well-being of the TRIBE...

We are happiest when we LEAVE our own egos... and step into everyone and everything around us... because THIS is what human beings evolved to do for millions of years.

Therefore, the SOLUTION to shame and anxiety is often to...

1. Be HONEST about what is inside us so that we can heal our various shames and pains...

2. Step out of ourselves and LOVE the world around us! <3

"Love & Honesty" was my solution to crippling society anxiety when I was 26 years old... and it has been my solution to every shame and anxiety I have ever had since...

Let me know if you'd like to find out more about this emotion-based approach to freeing ourselves from Shame and Anxiety, and having the kind of Connection we most desire. <3

I would love to tell you all about it. :)
